AccessOrange Language Pack – Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Version: 1.0.0.2 (or later)
Last updated: September 26, 2025
Overview
AccessOrange’s zh-TW language pack localizes Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’s Base Application into Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan).
What this app translates
- UI captions, actions, messages, notifications in the Base Application.
- It does not translate other third-party extensions unless you add translations for them in your own app.
System Requirements
- Business Central (Online), major 26.x (runtime 15.x) or newer, matching the version in your
app.json
. - Tenant user permissions to install extensions.
- For production tenants, the package must be signed.
Quick Start (for users)
- Open Business Central → My Settings → Language → choose Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan).
- Sign out and back in if prompted.
- If you still see English in some places, ask your admin to confirm the extension is installed and up to date.
Installation (admins)
Option A — AppSource
- In Business Central, open Extension Management → Get more extensions (Marketplace).
- Find AccessOrange Language Pack – Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), review permissions, and install.
- After installation completes, ask users to set Language = Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) in My Settings.
Option B — Per-Tenant Extension (PTE)
- Upload via Extension Management → Upload Extension (or deploy via Admin Center).
- Assign to environments as needed and have users set Language = Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan).
Upgrading
- When Business Central is updated (e.g., 26 → 27), install the matching new version of this language pack.
- If captions change in new BC releases, we ship updated translations; install the update and re-publish.
Uninstalling
- Go to Extension Management → locate the app → Uninstall.
- Users can switch their Language back to a different locale at any time.
Known Limitations
- This app targets the Base Application only. Other extensions require their own translation files.
- Microsoft platform strings (e.g., shell/chrome elements) may follow Microsoft’s own zh-TW resources.
- Some rarely used captions may appear in English until Microsoft exposes labels or we add coverage.
Troubleshooting
“I set the language to zh-TW but still see English”
- Confirm the extension is installed and enabled.
- Make sure the environment matches the app’s application version (e.g., 26.x).
- Sign out/in after changing language.
- Check no other extension overrides the same captions.
Placeholders look odd (e.g., numbers in the wrong place)
- Placeholders like
%1
/{0}
must appear exactly as in source. - If you see a formatting issue, note the screen and message text and contact us (include a screenshot).
Privacy
- The language pack itself does not collect or transmit personal data.
- Data handling in your tenant remains governed by Microsoft and your internal policies.
Support
- Please include environment name, BC version, screenshot of the caption/message, and a short description.
